Time flies so fast! Another quarter is about to end and as well as for media, we also have our goodbyes. Media blogging will be temporarily stopped until Miss Platon gives the go signal again. But don't worry, the master will be back after some weeks (Sembreak I love, Sembreak, I can't wait!) because writing is a passion and there's no end to that.

Another quarter filled with interesting entries (8 entries) again Miss Platon! I made entries that somehow relates with Passion, Love and Life. Some entries there go with the Passion, some flow with Love and of course, some shows the way of life and tips to a bright future. These three always go together and a wise blend of it would surely turn up anybody's perspective in life. Everything just has to have the right blend.

I smell "Iba ka, Pinoy!" theme for the next quarter and I bet it's going to be fun and exciting. We always dwell on American prides, why don't we see what we have here? :)

Zodiac Sign: Capricorn

I have deep and intact Faith in God but there's just something in these zodiac signs. Horoscope daily readings keeps my eyes locked at it and my thoughts bewildered. Whoever had started that what they call "Horoscope readings", I bow down to you. Are you aware how many teenagers and youngesters are hypnotized by these false readings everyday? Yes, I am one of those, I admit. However, believe me when I say, sometimes the readings are just too pathetic to waste your time on. Whenever I read horoscopes, I always think how and where they based it. Now, here comes the picture of the wild imagination of the generation today. It is indeed, outrageous!

Aren't you fascinated that everyday there are new readings for your future?

In line with that, We all know no one knows what's beyond every persons lives. It is only God, the only one, who could really tell the real scores of our lives. No palm readings and horoscopes could tell. At the same time, let's all admit it, we really enjoy reading our horoscopes especially when it is about love. I never doubted it. I am not being biased because I'm a girl and I'm definitely not speaking for my side but, time has made the women now a days become what they are now.

I really admire these women who continue to be a role model to the other women of our society. As well as those who aren't given much recognition but still put up their very best in front of many people to show that we are all equal and everyone can be like everybody else. It isn't about fame at all. Notice that successful people are those who have morals and values that stand out first before their prides and ego.

I cannot agree more with these simple ABC that could be a stepping stone to one's bright future. For me, the attitude weighs more than anything else. Even if you're the know-it-all type of person or the smart kid in the class, everything is rotten up without values and morals. Lastly, a person wouldn't be on the top if he/she doesn't have the passion for what she is doing. Do you imagine yourself on a task with no heart in it? It will just be a waste of time, effort and money. Useless and meaningless.

I don't have any person in mind who doesn't have a clue on what this site is. Maybe a few friends I know isn't interested to be involved in this kind of connection, but what is one eighth of a whole right? Majority of the teens today, even grown-ups, knows this site where friends-strangers-online buddies-relatives are connected. Whoever came up with this site must be a billionaire by now.

Actually, yours truly, is also apart of this community. Why I call community? Yes, because it has become one since it is like a village where you meet people and socialize. However, I find it cheap already when people gets involved here just to hook up or get a girlfriend/boyfriend. It is so degrading and disgusting. How can an online site be a way for you to get to know your partners? As Miss Platon said, in this kind of communication, there is GenLost, wherein somewhere along its process, something is removed and lost. Just like when you say your feelings through text, messengers, phones or emails, something is lost and you are not able to know what is real. Nothing still beats the challenge of saying it in person, where your eyes meet and emotions could be read.

I am not saying that this site is such a bad thing or bad influence to the people but this is where our discernment enters and knowing our limitations would help us big time. I would be a hypocrite if I say I do not like this site because the truth is, I actually enjoy being apart of this community because I get to keep in touch with my friends and stay updated. Who wouldn't want to stay close with their love ones right? Count me in!

I'll rate this Asianovela 11 out of 10. It just had this big impact in me, that even it's theme song got stuck in my head. By far, it's the best koreanovela I've ever seen!

My friends would fairly know that I am a certified telenovela fan and that I can say I've seen almost all the teleseries in ABS-CBN. I love watching movies that make me cry and giggle the freak out of me. I am also one of those who really patronize our very own pride that is why whenever people would criticize Filipino movies and teleseries, there is this urge passing me to debate or argu with them. I just cannot stand that some people have the guts to criticize and nail on the cross their very own pride.

Going back to this Asianovela, I know this would sound ironic, but I really loved it from the start to the end. It was such a great teleseries because the laughter, melancholy and suspense made a superb blend. Add to that the cast who all carried their roles well. Julian and Jasmin were a fantastic tandem!

Have you seen this? My friends, I say and a lot of people say, you should watch it!

Photography.

I've always had this passion for Photography. In a way, I don't know, it somehow relaxes the atmosphere I'm in. Like what I've said in my previous entry, a picture could mean a thousand words yet we still wouldn't be able to know what it trys to tell us.

I am really amazed with these pictures. I just can't get enough of them. Haven't you thought of how the photographers and artists made such poses and colors and backgrounds. How they could put the varied emotions there with just a click away? Then people today try to experiment on the Photo Adobe because it could enhance the pictures. Isn't amazing how the modern technology could be put in our hands just like that?

Lastly, I also commend the people who pose for the shots because they really pull it off creatively there!

Let's keep up with Fashion! What's the latest Fashion Trend for 2006 anyway?

What seems to be a better way of attracting people? Isn't it by the way we choose our clothes show what kind of persons are we? I agree to that. Our feelings, expressions and tradition, or maybe the environment we grew in, somehow reveals the inner personality we have. In line with that, yearly, fashion trends tend to improve and develop until there's such a time wherein people have been transformed into a high-fashioned dolls.

In my opinion, there is a proper time and place where we could be as high-fashioned like the ramp models are. At the same time, we could dress up fashionably and creatively without overdressing. I say this because I notice people to be lost in the way they dress but also, I commend those people who can really carry themselves well. They seem to just fit in in whatever clothes they wear. There are also these teen icons who we look up to when it comes to fashion. For me? I commend Amanda Griffin for she is definitely somebody to look up to!

Voices in Harmony presents. . .

Yes, you're eyes aren't deceiving you! It's the pride of SHS, the SHS Chorale, who competed with 10 other schools last September 30, if I'm not mistaken. What more to that is, they brought home the bacon!

I've always admired these young ladies whose voices were like sweet angels. One time, they presented in school their song piece for their competition and I felt like each of them is storming the heaven for blessings. I am not exaggerating or bias because I simply came from the same school but their voices were really nice to listen to and very calm. I am not so much into detailed with music neither do I know how to compose or hear wrong notes, but one thing is for sure, I've heard SHS chorale sing their hearts out and I think that is what is important.

For your information, this group is fervently spending all their afternoons after classes to practice and vocalize their voices. This so has brought them victory when they got in in the finals on December 3.

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect :)

CADS CONCERT

If you're a dancer and the type of person who really explores the world of your passion, then I guess you must have gone to CADS Concert last month (September).

What I mean is, you should have seen the dance concert because you would have been motivated and encouraged more to groove to your best moves! For your information, CADS primarily stands for Company of Ateneo Dancers. If I should rate the dance concert from 1 to 10, I would probably give a 7. Why 7 and I told you that you should have seen it? Well two things, one is, it wasn't the best dance concert I've seen but I say their theme for the concert was just oh-so-amazing and second, you would notice if the dancers regularly train by the way they execute the moves, so I say, maybe some of the dancers there rehearsed for just some couple of weeks but not regularly. What is the difference of regularly training from a training-for-a-big-event? I speak as what I have seen in some really passionate dancers. Regular trainings or conditionings attributes to becoming a better dancer/singer/player. If you just train for the sake of training, then it will be nothing compared to those who really exert effort to becoming their best selves.

However, seeing dance concerts like this motivates you and hits you hard enough with some learnings a book can't provide you because you have to have what they call. . . passion in it.

Miss Platon, Friends, Fellow Critics!
Second quarter's breaking in and media just keeps getting better. For the second quarter, I have decided to make a theme so we could try to break in the details how media makes the world go round- in a good and bad way. With this so, we could also use our ability to appreciate different forms of media. The theme for this quarter is PASSION. We all have our passion for something. This passion may become a hindrance to our growth or may also make us mature through the motivation it can give us. Thus, I have decided to make all entries related to most passions of the teenagers now a days. We all have passions! Well. . . I have one, which is apart of the big puzzle in my life.

**Btw, Miss Platon, I had a hard time getting the code for enabling the "comment" thing. I'm sorry I couldn't encode it. I'll try to put it back next quarter when I change my layout again. Thaanks.
