PRINCESS DIARIES 2
I know it's quite late but to tell you the truth, I just watched Princess Diaries 2 last saturday in Disney chanel. If not for disney channel, maybe until now I am still clueless on the said film. Yes of course, most of us have seen this great film and whoever hasn't seen it, oh guys it is a must-see!
Just as I thought, it was marvelous.
In the movie, Anne Hathaway (Mia), the Princess of Genovia, has matured into a young stunning woman with calm desires for her country. However, I felt sad that though she was a girl who almost had everything, she was deprived from having the magical romance that she has been waiting for.
If you guys have seen the movie, you would surely notice the tradition that is actually applied in some countries. I admire Anne Hathaway for making a difference which made her even more worthy of being the Queen of Genovia. Just imagine being married to a person you don't love and you barely know. Marriage is not just a contractual agreement but also a choice because whomever you will be walking with in the aisle will also be the guy you will spend your whole life with. This is no toy that you can just dispose if you do not fancy anymore.
I began to be curious if such tradition still applies until now. I really feel sorry for this women and men who are forced to marry some royal highness just because of one lame reason which is obligation.
I think Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews make a good tandem of the Princess and the Queen. Can I just say? Anne Hathaway is so pretty. Hands down! ----------------------------------------------

Isn't it amazing how pictures can speak so much for itself? Without actually having to elaborate more about what the photographer is trying to show us?
Photography has always been one of the beauty of arts that I enjoy so much.
I see in this picture a girl who is, yes, tired of walking down the road which seems never ending. Sometimes you just want to sit down and take a deep breath for some things are just quite tiresome. The road for me simbolizes the journey we, girls at the young age, take. This journey is so long that sometimes, there is a point in our lives that we want to take a time-off. Sit back, relax, feel the wind and gather ourselves for another long walk.
I also simply adore her jeans and her shoes. Don't you just like it? Girls, tell me.
Again, a picture itself meant a thousand words. ----------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------- Candy Magazine and Meg Magazine
Candy and Meg Magazine have always been the preferred magazines of the teenagers now a days. Haven't you noticed that?
But you see, it's just the typical magazine were you see the hottest eye candies in the country, the best buys, your beauty tips and the likes. Such magazine just push teenagers into spending their money foolishly. Tell me I am right. When you see the hottest trends and the newest set of make-ups, won't you just want to go out and rush to the malls? Even if it is not practical anymore, you still want to buy it. Leaving all these things piled up in your closet and waiting for the next season to use it. Nothing's really wrong in shopping but if you get too engrossed with it, it's not good anymore. The magazines are held responsible for such obsession in shopping.
I, myself, do sometimes really want to rush to the malls and buy what I think looks good on me. But let's just say that my mom gets too strict on me whenever we go out. So, I am left only with the practical things. Of course, I also get to buy what I want and what I think is cool without getting so obsessed in shopping.
Oh and I also buy either Candy or Meg magazine because sometimes I just adore the beauty of some models there.
You? Are you shopaholic girl? ----------------------------------------------

I just finished reading this book. And I tell you, it's an amazing book! This book is really going to open your eyes and your heart, will let you go deeper into your wildest imagination and it's really going to touch your very soul. Well, for me, it just did.
The book has so much to say. Like, it is trying to tell it's readers that "Our human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. Death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed." I so much cling to that lesson. I remembered that my brother's friend, Peter, should've been the one sitted at the passenger's side but then my brother insisted, for the first time, to sit there. This first time happened to be his last. Lives, indeed, really changed.
It pushed my curiousity to its highest level. I really wondered if such things really happen. But nevertheless, I understood it now how things come and go. I am not saying that I fully understand the very reason why my brother passed away. In a way or another, I was just assured that God prepared the most wonderful paradise for him (and for all of us) through reading this book.
I really loved the book! I think you guys should start reading it too! ----------------------------------------------

I was at my brother's room the other day. I saw this poem above his study table and our memories shared together started to haunt me again. Oh and I remember, this was the song that was played during his wake.
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found the place at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
I believe this is a song from YFC.
Again, I can't believe I'm looking at such a song. A song that reminds me so much of my beloved brother.
When I heard this song, it seemed to me that my brother is really talking to me. Just so you know the pain I am still going through, my brother and I were very, and I mean very close. That is why his, let's just say, temporary leave broke my heart into pieces. Hard to believe? But yes, so many thing haunts me from the day he passed away. Our memories, our shared laughters, the dreams I built together with him and his mere presence haunts me almost everyday.
The song has so much to tell. Like, it is assuring you that he's happy now and free. What struck me the most is the line "Tasks left undone must stay that way". It occured to me that nothing like before will be like tomorrow. It was bound to happen. Sadly, we weren't prepared for his early leave.
Like what the song is trying to say, God had it all planned out. He has prepared for each one of us a beautiful paradise. Now, we all just have to wait for our own "Time-out". ----------------------------------------------

Anyone who simply loves to dance should be familiar with this show.
ABS-CBN's U CAN DANCE
When I first heard about this show, I thought of it as an imitation of Shall We Dance in ABC 5 which was also an imitation of a known show in US, Dancing with the Stars. Honestly, at first, I wasn't at all impressed.
Eventually, seeing young teen stars perform there with professional dancers somehow gave me a bit interest in it. I'm not really hooked up in this dance show craze. Why? For one good reason is, there are better dance shows out there that are more interesting. However, ballroom dancing with a touch of modern experience make a good combination. The barangay groups competing against each other on the dance floor is not bad. Personally, it is good that they showcase something like this so that Filipinos will see that not only elite people can dance pretty well. Actually, great dancers are born from these people.
Iya Villania doesn't work at all for me as a host, especially with this kind of show. She doesn't really have that thing for dancing. Same thing goes for Derek Ramsey, he is nothing but an eye candy.
I was REALLY surprised to see Alma Moreno there. How can she even judge their performance without a bit background in dancing? What is she doing there?
I rate this show 7 out 10. ----------------------------------------------

MEET THE RINGMASTER! JER-RY! JER-RY!
Ever heard these chants before? Yes! You might just have.
The Jerry Springer Show = The Worst Talk Show Ever
I am really against these kinds of talk shows. For me, this isn't just a talk show, it is already a trash tv talk show. Why I call it trash? We don't learn anything from here. Troubled families, teenagers, couples and the likes go here to discuss their problems on-air with audience before them to give suggestions. In actuality, the show made it look like a zoo of people insulting the guests, shouting and even trashing bad words at each other. With the kind of behavior they display throughout the show, they looked like uneducated people. For me, just the thought of discussing your personal problems on-air is improper already. To make matters worse, they even dwell on topics involving sex, racism, marital jealousy and other prurient subjects. Talk shows like this should be banned. The producers and staffs should be aware that children might get to watch this.
What do you say? ----------------------------------------------

My Media log says hello to everyone. (Miss Platon! :) )
Broadcasting and expressing my thoughts, ideas and opinions have always been one of the things I enjoy doing. Some of my dear friends would know that I really love to write and express my feelings. I am not a professional critic nor a writer; I just broadcast whatever is inside of my head. I am a very jolly person, therefore, I do not (and will not) write anything that can destroy or hurt the feelings of others. I only intend to let people know my opinion on a particular matter. In fact, writing is just my hobby and is my way of letting people know how little things could make me insanely happy. I may be careless with the words I use (and will be using), but I assure my fellow readers, if there's any *winks*, that I only write what I feel and of no relation to any particular person. You see, this is my media log and from now on, you will be seeing my comments and opinions on nothing but media. Hey, this isn't about me only. Together we (juniors) will explore the complicated world of media.
Need I say more? Read my motto for media awareness at the right side of my blog. :)
